So why pratice?
This is a funny quote from Ai-Ai delas Alas' new movie, Ang Tanging Ina Ninyong Lahat. Though I haven't seen the movie, that quote is always played back during the commercials in TV so probably, everybody have memorized her funny sayings. I'm not going to make any movie review here. I told you, I haven't seen the movie. What I'm going to do is make a "reflection" on her funny quote. Not to treat it seriously but just examine it. "Practice makes perfect; but then again, nobody is perfect, so why practice?" makes sense, for me. Okay, I'm not actually the ultimate lazy guy, but I'm basing my agreeing with it from a philosophy student's point of view (Hey, to all philosophy graduates, forgive me if I have wrong ideas here. I know you know philosophy can't be mastered in just one sem). But it's also wrong in another way. What IF the one's who created those two sayings were only giving opinions and the society just agreed? How did he know that nobody is perfect? What if somebody is actually perfect? How did he know that practice makes perfect? What if practice makes imperfect? And what is perfect? Maybe the dictionary definition is another opinion? Haha, I know I'm both confusing and confused. I still have to devour every piece of info I learn in philosophy class. Can anyone share their opinion on this: How do we know we are not dreaming right now? What if we are just dreaming that we are dreaming in our sleep? Anyone who could give a strong answer is a great philosopher! |

Valentines is coming, sort of. It is what usually follows the New Year holiday. And so lovers, family members and friends all around the world may be now thinking of preparing gifts for the Valentine season. I have made a post entitled “The Latest Trends in Watches for Men” last January 2, 2009. Here I am writing a related post talking about something particular already.
Citizen Watches Who doesn’t know the watch brand Citizen? They have been around for decades already. Your great great grandparents may have used this brand. Truly a classic. The name Citizen has stayed so long, up to now, in the market because of it undeniable durability and good function. They have been upgrading their technologies (they’re recognized worldwide as a leader in advanced technology) to include the world’s slimmest LCD watch, the world’s first voice recognition watch, and the world’s first professional dive watch having a depth sensor. Citizen Eco-Drive Watch This is their latest model being tagged as Ecologically Friendly Timekeeping. How do they make it eco-friendly? These watches are light-driven or light-powered. It therefore needs no battery and no battery waste means a healthier environment. Don’t worry; you don’t need the sun all the time. It can run on ANY type of light, natural or artificial. Personally, I suggest the Citizen AR1054-52E Men's Eco-Drive Two Tone Stiletto Black Dial as a gift for men. Simple and sleek. The Citizen Eco-Drive Watch, a perfect gift idea |

Philippines is a victim of a very rough destiny. In our history, we could see that we were continuously exploited by outside forces over and over again. We were always the victim. And now, look at our country, still branded as third world. Is there no hope for our country?
Poverty is widespread. The rich can't feel that. The poor suffer so much. The middle class sees everything. People are flocking out of the country to migrate literally. So what are the reasons why we never progress just like Korea did after their experience of too much poverty (more than the poverty we have right now)? I don't want to be negative about this but I'm looking at it in an unbiased judgment now. So, to all optimists for Philippines, excuse me first, okay?

Planning and design of the house can be made by you. Possible. But expect a lot of flaws in the design. That is why most people hire a professional, an architect, to do the house plan and make the blueprint. An architect will also make sure that the budget you present will fit the whole project's financial requirements. But the cost of an architect is expensive. Just by creating the house plan would cost you $50-$150 dollars per hour, though this is negotiable.
Because of the difficulty of meeting that high cost due to the recession that we are experiencing, a lot of future homeowners turn to professionally-prepared house plans that are available not through a face-to-face architect but online. Practicality-wise, this is a good move. House plans that are available online are also architect-made but they are less costly because of its being a package already. The choices for house plans available online are not limited. Most sites that offer house plans now present around 40 architectural styles to choose from. |

Watches have now become an important part of the body. Aside from keeping you updated with time, watches already have become part of the style group. Year after year, manufacturers and designers together upgrade or improve the look and designs of watch, together with varying timekeeping abilities and varieties. Men's watch trends change every year just like that of women's. Since we are just on the mouth of a new year, let's take a look at what's "in" for men's watches.
Leather, the classy look
Mesh band steel watch, conservative Those who wants to stay in the serious and conservative part of society can still enjoy the benefits of being glorified with their style. Steel watches with mesh bands have lived a long time already yet millions still use them for any purpose possible. The mesh bands give the crispiness of the strap and the grand looking time eye is an addition. Funky, groovy and colorful |

There are a lot of things that you can do to start the New Year right. You could go in parties, you could cook exotic food, play sports that you never played at all and most of all, bond with your loved ones in a very special place. They say the best place to complement a total family bonding is a haven-like paradise, a place where problems don't go. We're talking about grand resorts here, where you could practically do anything. Now we'll talk about the hottest destination in the world. And that is...
Jamaica The best resorts reside in Jamaica (just like a lot of South American countries). Jamaica is filled with a lot of seascapes and landscapes being sculpted together to form an Eden in earth. Breezes Runaway Bay is one of the many popular destinations to look for while in Jamaica. Other famous resorts in Jamaica, located in Negril and Runaway Bay are the Grand Lido Resorts. Grand Lido Resorts are well-known specifically as honeymoon spots. Romantic vacations usually take place in such resorts. So if you mean husband or wife for family, this is the right place. Newly-weds will have the time of their lives. What Breezes has to offer for to-be-weds and newly-weds alike |

I am not so much into TV shows anymore when I started blogging and when school started to be very harsh. That's why being "engrossed" in watching a particular TV show nowadays is quite a new thing for me.

Merry Christmas everybody!
Today must surely be a day of giving gifts and celebration. People don't mind the financial crisis when it comes to giving the perfect gifts for their loved ones. Since today is Christmas Day, will the giving of gifts be gone tomorrow? Absolutely not. Gift giving can go on until New Year or even after that. That is the essence of the Holidays. Because of that, Pexagon (Making Storage Personal TM) is still offering their great Christmas products for purchase until the end of the year. So what do they have in store? ![]() |

We all know what tattoos are. Tattoos are permanent markings made by inserting ink into the layers of skin to change the pigment usually for decorative reasons. The conservative half of society sees people filled with tattoos in distaste, sometimes in disgust. Tattoos with disturbing figures, like skulls, cross, calligraphy, etc. are being stereotyped by the so called conservatives as dirty body decoration. On the other hand, a lot of people (whose minds are open) are already embracing a time wherein tattoos are widely accepted in society. Hollywood has its shares of tattoo-surrounded hot bodies. The Queen of all Queens, Angelina Jolie, is one of them. And one good thing, she flaunts it!
The picture above is a tattoo in Angelina Jolie's back portion. But that's not the only one. She has more than a dozen of tattoos in her body. Her tattoos are not useless. She says those tattoos show off her true personality, her exotic nature, and her hidden sensuality. On her left arm, she has 6 rows of tattoo lines showing longitudes/latitudes (that's what I see). On her back shoulder are 5 vertical beautifully designed tattoos. Her back is filled with tattoos. Her wrists, her shoulders, arms, naturally everywhere! Even with the number of tattoos on her, her fan base and number never waned. |

I am truly a Heroes fan even if I don't reside in the USA. And since the third chapter, Villains, just ended like last week, or I forgot when was that (seems like yesterday), I am on a Heroes break. And I don't like it. I want the show to keep on rolling. I can't wait for February 2. I don't want to wait in vain, kidding! Anyways, I was searching for scoops, hints, spoilers and more about the fourth chapter, Fugitives. I then bumped to www.televisionwithoutpity.com, just because it showed up in the search results. So, I was reading something, an article and then realized that it was Jack Coleman himself who is writing on that blog! Jack Coleman is Noah Bennett in Heroes. His nickname is H.R.G. which means horn-rimmed glasses because he wears it in the show. Therefore, his blog (guest blog actually) is entitled The H.R.G. Files. An excerpt follows.
What do actors do all day while they're filming? I've seen this question on the boards lately. The answer is that it depends greatly on the day. There are times I spend most of the day in my trailer reading, making phone calls, even writing my blog (clearly, not a whole lot of that). Then there are days when I leave my trailer at 6 am and don't return until 8 pm. |

In order for a business, small or big, to expand and gain momentum in the industry, it must gain a number of loyal customers that would contribute to their success. Marketing is one of the most effective ways to ensure a continual growth of a business. According to the American Marketing Association, "Marketing is an organizational function and a set of processes for creating, communicating and delivering value to customers and for managing customer relationships in ways that benefit the organization and its stakeholders." Marketing is further subdivided into various sub-types that range from manual to internet marketing.
For years, a lot of big businesses worldwide have made studies on which type of marketing is the most effective. However, they found out that there is no standard most effective kind of marketing. It all depends back on how the business handles marketing itself as a whole. One of the most commonly and widely used marketing process is the marketing campaign through direct mail. This is the traditional way, yet it still proves to be more effective than e-mail marketing. |

Twitter, which has just recently gained fame, can also be a source of some earnings too. Because of Twitter's real time short messaging service and the international coverage it holds, it has become a good and powerful source of the latest news, happenings, celebrations, and many more around the world. Advertisers have then thought of Twitter's power in online advertising. Then here comes Magpie.
I just recently joined Magpie as a publisher or blogger. (Magpie is a bird) What I found out is that they pay you with every tweet they post on your Twitter account. You have to give out your Twitter password so they could automatically post advertisement tweets based on your defined settings. We call those tweets magpie-tweets. You actually set if they place magpie-tweets every other post, after 5 posts, after 10 posts, etc. The duration of posting can also be set e.g. you can allow posting everyday. There are a lot of changeable options in the Magpie account and you could choose what would suit you and your followers best. By the way, Magpie initially calculates how much you could earn in a month by counting the number of Twitter Followers you have. The more, the bigger the earnings. So if you got 100,000 followers, then cash may be extremely huge. Just also make sure your Followers would not get annoyed by the magpie-tweets. Join Magpie now! But before you do, follow me on Twitter! I'll follow back, of course. |

A memorial park is another term for a cemetery. The only difference between memorial parks and ordinary cemeteries is that the former is more maintained and orderly than the latter (in the Philippines).
In the Philippines, there is a continuing problem of overcrowding in the public cemeteries. Tombs and markers, graves and others are all placed everywhere whenever there is a space. This results in a very cluttered and dirty cemetery. The only solution to this problem is not a direct one. People who don't want to be affected by such problems most of the time turn to private memorial parks. Manila Memorial Park is the pioneer in the memorial park industry in the Philippines. It has a number of parks scattered all around the Philippines. In Cebu, Manila Memorial Park is located in the Municipality of Lilo-an, north of Cebu City. Manila Memorial Park - Cebu Regular Lawn

![]() Now other computer systems are left behind. Do you want to talk to your computer instead of pressing those keys? Well this is highly possible but only through Mac computers. Hmmm, so how about other PC systems? Well, just be contented with your keyboards for now. But for Mac users, a MacSpeech Dictate will do the trick! You get to interact with your Mac through your voice. Sounds pretty technological, huh. I am even imagining myself writing my blog posts but instead of physically typing it, I'm saying it! Poor me, I can't talk to my Compaq laptop. So, the imagination is left hanging. |

People who have nothing to do with their lives often play with the telephone or their mobile phone. And the victims are always innocent. Have you ever awoken in the middle of the night from a demanding ring from your phone but disappointingly you receive just breath rasps, snickers, whispers or anything scary from the other line? Or have you ever answered a call from someone saying you've won a thousand bucks and have to send you credit card number right away? Then your number may be listed on a prank caller's list, or more, your friends or office mates are just making fun out of you. But whoever is on the other line, nobody would ever want to be bugged by disturbing prank calls. So how do you catch that anonymous prank caller?
A reverse phone lookup is the number one way to determine the identity of an unknown caller. It simply would trace phone numbers from one's caller ID and immediately, information such as name and address of that number/s will be retrieved. Even though this kind of process entails a fee, anyone receiving death threats and mind-boggling prank calls would surely avail of this one. You get what you pay for. After tracing the unknown caller's identity, he can't hide anymore. The next action is left on you. You can even anticipate his next call and surprise him by saying his name. He will be scared to death of what you might make up against him, although just finding out about their real identities is enough to make them stop. Now the problem is solved. If you have annoying unknown prank callers, you would consider on using a reverse phone lookup service to trace phone numbers that register on your caller ID. |

From Wikipedia, XML or Extensible Markup Language is a general-purpose specification for creating custom markup languages. What XML does is to aid people in a lot of technical/computer tasks like enhancing the capability of sharing systems online, encode documents and serialize data. XML is also used as a database programming language and though it can be paired with other open-source database languages, its perfect pair is XQuery. XQuery, like MySQL, is a query language and is specifically a pair to an XML database. The complete system, which includes the database front end and back end altogether in one system is DB2. DB2 (DB stands for database) is a relational database management system (RDBMS) from IBM. An RDBMS is a very useful system to enhance the use of a company or an individual's data and information.

Who Am I by Casting Crowns is not a new song. But recently, it became a popularly played song over the radio waves. Who Am I was released in 2003 in the Casting Crowns album. I first heard of the song when Van Pojas sang it in the Pinoy Dream Academy Finals. This song is sort of a Christian song (inspirational music) that tells about one's identity in relation to God. I admit I am not a good Christian but it won't stop me from liking Christian songs. And Who Am I is one of them. I like peaceful and inspirational music among others. These types of music just brings us back to sanity and reality.
I'd like to share two very amazing videos (not a music video), one of which used Who Am I as the interpreted song and the other one is sung by Van Pojas in PDA. They (in the first video) interpreted it artistically through shapes formed by hands and light. I witnessed a similar stuff way back at school last August but this one is way more amazing. Be relaxed by the video below. |

Hearts starve as well as bodies; give us bread, but give us roses.
— James Oppenheim, "Bread and Roses" For any occasion, human as we are, we always are willing to share gifts to others. Women, specifically, have hearts so tender that even a single stem of an elegant and fresh looking red rose would melt her emotions. And what would a grand bouquet do? Probably will make her yours forever. Roses Only is a renowned online flower shop catering to people all around the world. People have been coming back to them to purchase a variety of flower packages for occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries, victory parties, baby showers, and much more. They don't only offer buoqets but also boxed roses and flowers. Roses Only is by the way not limited to just roses. You may want to spice up your present more with chocolates, wine and fruits. You may also want to give roses side by side to lilies or gerberas. The choice is yours. Now is the right time to give flowers to your loved ones. Christmas is a time to celebrate and a time to show some love. Giving flowers could be a way to forge a long lasting stronger relationship between you and your beloved. Merry Christmas. |

![]() Okay, so call me loser if you want to. I have just joined (they say) the most popular social networking site there is now, Facebook. I know the kick-off fame of Facebook was months ago but I wasn't interested then (and probably I am too busy to sign up for another social networking site). Now, I'm not saying that I am very interested. I just want to try. And since I've already tried and saw that their style is different as that of Friendster or MySpace, well I'll have to continue now. To all of you having a Facebook accout, please be my friend over there. I have only 3 friends as of writing, poor me. XD Anyways, go on, click the link above and show me your face... book. |

Phew! The last episode for the "Villains" chapter for Heroes has recently came by. I am a very avid fan of Heroes from the first season until the latest episodes. Since Heroes is not shown here in local television, I have to wait for it to show up in the torrent sites. I will download the latest episode upon showing up in www.isohunt.com. I didn't know that the 13th episode for Season 3 will be the closing for the Villains chapter. That chapter was one of the coolest chapters since a lot of things happened. It is also interesting the way the antagonist role shifted from Sylar to Arthur Petrelli. I never thought Arthur would be defeated. But he was and I then wondered who the next antagonist would be now that Sylar (I prefer him to be the antagonist) was killed too (by Claire). I never expected it to be Nathan. Now I'm hating him - first he supported Arthur, now he is destroying the heroes. To think Peter saved him from Merydith's brother. Too bad. He has exposed his own people. As if he isn't one of the people he's trying to make into fugitives (it figures why the title says so). Now I will wait again for the 14th episode of the third season to be available for download. I CAN'T WAIT. |

I am surprised! I was gone from the PTC world for about two weeks because of my busy life and just now I tried checking again. To my surprise, Buxout has been shut down. Here's their statement:
We apologize for closing, but we paid out all our capital and revenue has drastically slowed down over the past month. We are afraid we do not have the resources to continue running the site. Any questions or concerns can be directed to support@buxout.com. Thank you for being a member of Buxout.com Although their closing wasn't really a pain in my ass, I just wondered how many other PTC sites will be closing because of financial problems. So who wants to invest in PTC sites huh? You might not know... they may be paying you today, but will be closing tomorrow. PTC investment is dangerous. That's all that I have to say. |

I am a music lover. I love to listen to great songs. I love to sing them too. That is why I am familiar with sites that stream music or those that allow downloading. Unfortunately, a lot are not available for free. Usually, downloading has a price. There are a lot of varieties of music sites. There are those that pay listeners to critic on streamed songs while others are plainly for listening (sometimes giving only 30-second song previews) or buying. But have you heard of a music site that is also at the same time a social network? Now you will.
Kerchoonz is a new site where not only music rules but also videos and other media-related stuff rules. This is the social network focusing on music site that I was talking about. I did check the place out (signed up and logged in) and saw a great layout with a purple touch. Not your ordinary layout huh. I signed up as a “fan” but you can sign up as a band, publisher, or etc. What I found out is that both bands and fans will get something good. Bands will be duly paid when their songs are downloaded or listened to - a good way of advertising. Fans will get quality music on the other hand. Crappy songs are not allowed. I then checked out the Top 1 song and it was an awesome rock song. I quote one comment that said “Quality track. Who are these rock gods?” One good comment they got there. |

A lot of us prefer riding in bicycles or motorcycles when going out. When I was a kid, I used to roam the neighborhood in my bike just for fun. Although I never have been into an accident with my bike before, I know that there are a lot of damaging things that could happen to a biker. The community needs a responsible, not a reckless, biker. Here are some ways on how to become responsible and help keep order in the society.
Now that you know how to be a good biker and a good citizen, hope you do it in action. And remember, don't do anything bad with your bike. The society will always keep an eye on you. |

Are you planning to build a house this 2009? Owning your own land and house is a big investment. Its sole ownership is truly yours and not to anyone else. But starting out is a difficult phase. First and foremost, you have to set aside a huge amount of budget for the whole project, not only for the materials. If the budget is ready, you then have to find somebody to design or plan the house, its structuring, size, etc. This is the phase that we are going to discuss in this post.
Leather straps are "in" again (and will always be). What's good with leather is that it is wearable on any type of occasion. Leather is already a regular in the world of fashion and clothing; watches not exempted. The classic leather look is not what we are talking about here. The newest style is the wide leather wristband which has made a buzz in the market. Leather strap combined with leather wristband is also a choice for many teen males and fathers alike. The image on the left is a Nike Sledge Analog.

I never spared a time before to watch Pinoy Fear Factor, Philippines' version of the worldwide reality hit Fear Factor, because it was sort of boring and very serious (unlike Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition). But just recently, two weeks before (my guess), they changed the way Pinoy Fear Factor is presented, and that is "with a twist". Now, Marc Logan is hosting it in primetime and Ryan Agoncillo is still the one seriously hosting the show in Argentina. Marc Logan never fails when it comes to making anything funny. That's what made me watch Pinoy Fear Factor now. I like their stunts, I know the contestants already and I know the show. And I can't dare not to laugh when watching it. Marc Logan makes comical voices for the participantes. And he makes voices for the creatures too. An hour before New Years Eve, the PFF episode showed previews for the happenings to be aired in 2009 and I'm quite excited. But sadly, next year's episodes will get back to serious mode again. I'll try if I can manage their seriousness.
